Effat Jahan Efa is a sociologist, researcher, and youth development practitioner based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology from the University of Chittagong, where her research focused on climate vulnerability, governance, public health, and marginalized communities. Her work experience spans humanitarian research, civic engagement, climate resilience, and social development through collaborations with national and international organizations. She has worked on field-based qualitative and mixed-method research involving vulnerable communities, youth participation, gender equality, and community resilience. Alongside research, she actively engages in leadership development, policy dialogue, and youth empowerment initiatives across Bangladesh. Her areas of interest include qualitative research, climate justice, gender and governance, civic participation, and inclusive development.
